This
wonderful land was discovered over three hundred years ago. The
peninsula is located at the Far East of Russia between Pacific Ocean
and Okhotskoye Sea. The entire region of Kamchatka covers 472,000
square kilometers. Its population is about 400,000 people. There
are 29 active and about 300 extinct Vulcanoes.
The
climate of Kamchatka is notable for its long winters, short summers
and a high level of rainfoll in the coastal territory but inside
of peninsula weather is quite different, the climate is like continental,
temperature is higher & not so much raining in the summer.

The
fauna is presented by such animals & birds like : bears, foxes,
soboles, wolves, bighorn-sheeps, hares, ground squirrels, sea eagles,
cormorant etc. Kamchatka is famous for salmon fish & since June
till September, when fish come for spawning, the rivers are rich
of red salmon, silver salmon, chum salmon, king salmon The region
of hot springs is famous place in the world, there located many
resort places. Hot springs are one of the greatest natural treasures
of this land, and have high potential forthe
tourist industry.
Also,
in Kamchatka there’s a Valley of Geysers - the untouched wonderful
place. The most popular sport in Kamchatka is mountain and Vulcano
skiing in winter and summer.
The
active rest in Kamchatka can be represented by Rafting on the Rivers,
Mountain Peaks Tourism, Licensed Sport Hunting and Fishing, Dog
sledge racing. These all is Kamchatka.

From Moscow to peninsula is 9 hours by flight, and from Alaska (USA)
